Good questions deserve plain answers.

-
Who do you typically work with?
Families, business owners, executives and institutions who want planning, investment, tax and estate advice from one coordinated team. Most of our clients have at least $2 million in investable assets or expect to after a business sale or liquidity event.
-
What happens in the first meeting?
We listen. The first conversation is about your goals, your worries and how you make decisions, not about products or portfolios. You leave with a short written summary of what we heard and whether we think we can help.
-
Will I work with one advisor or a team?
Both. You have one lead advisor who knows your plan best, supported by a CPA, an estate specialist, a portfolio manager and a client experience associate who all work from the same plan.
-
How are you paid?
We are a fee-only fiduciary. We are paid by our clients, never by commissions, product sponsors or referral fees. Most clients pay an annual fee based on assets under management, which includes planning and tax preparation.
-
Is tax preparation included?
For most planning clients, yes. Complex returns, such as multi-state filings or returns for business entities, may carry an additional fee that we quote before the work begins.
-
How often will we meet?
At least twice a year for a full review, and whenever something changes. Many clients also have shorter check-ins with their advisor or CPA during tax season.
-
Where are my assets held?
Your accounts are held in your name at an independent, third-party custodian. We have authority to manage the investments but cannot withdraw funds to anyone but you.
-
Can you work with my existing attorney or CPA?
Yes, and we often do. We coordinate with the professionals you already trust and fill in only where there are gaps.
